ARTISAN QUALITY PRODUCT

All the products we make are typical from Mallorca, and based on the old designs. They are normally used to enhance the decor, in curtains, and upholstery. The principle fabric which is made is the "tela de lenguas" or "fabric of flames", in linen-cotton, although silk-linen can also be used. Other articles include towels, tablecloths and bedspreads in linen, tapestries and rugs, individual table settings, napkins, etc...

There is a widespread belief that its origin is oriental but the insularity of Mallorca has made it its own and indigenous to the Island. The well-known "ikats" closely resemble the Island's "fabric of flames". The fabrics, are woven by hand, with discontinuous and irregular designs in vital colours.

All the work in preparing the colours and designs is carried out by hand, after this, the fabrics will be woven on mechanical looms.

Look at the pictures: cotton skeins dyed one by one, individually, using the strongest colours. It's very important to require the highest quality, even when the costs could be higher.
